Greetings folks,
I came across Old Players Assoc. thread on the PoE forums and it really stood out to me. Mainly, Old Player (points to grey hair) and the social aspect of the guild. I've only recently returned to PoE after an almost 2 yr hiatus for family obligations, but have returned with the hope of finding the right community to spend game time with that understand family comes first.
My online gaming experience starts more than 20 yrs ago with text based "MuD's" and progress to ARPG's and MMorpgs. I've played everything from EQ, DAoC, to WoW and multiple others. I enjoy the grouping, "raiding", Mapping aspects of every game and hope to accomplish the same goals with PoE.
I read thoroughly over the OPA thread and I meet all the requirements except for one: The level 70 in Merciless. This will happen very soon and I had deleted all my previous characters to try to thwart my return to gaming. However, I'm back and ready have some fun (couple of level 50+ in 3 days). I read under the "new player" tab on the thread that although you may not meet all requirements, that your application may still be considered.
I will welcome the opportunity to speak with someone if that should be required.
I await to hear from OPA.
